My little sister and I used to go walking every morning.

One day we heard a strange scream that freaked us out. 

I think we've found the culprit!

C25K: Day 1

Today I started training for a 5K.

{The Mud Factor- 5K Run & Obstacle Course}

 

I have no idea what it takes to train for that so

I downloaded an app called C25K by Running Double.

Today was Day 1 so the app prompted me through a

1.86 mile run, with running and walking intervals.

 

I started out great, VERY pumped!

And then my body got mad at me.

My ears were ringing, my throat was burning, and my sinuses were itching.

 

But I kept going.

 

Every time it said "RUN!", I ran.

It wasn't always fast, but I did it.

Can I get a HALLELUJAH?!!

The app starts out with 3 running days per week so

I figured tomorrow I'll open the Xbox Zumba I got for Christmas. =)

I'm now a Reading Specialist at an elementary school. My days aren't nearly as funny or exciting as they were when I taught preschool but yesterday was an exception. One of my reading students made a comment to me (he considered it a compliment) and subsequently brought back this note:
